Habemus Papam! We Have a Pope!

The Catholic Church welcomes with great joy Pope Leo XIV, formerly Cardinal Robert Prevost, as our new Holy Father. Born in Chicago and having served as a missionary and bishop in Peru, Pope Leo XIV brings a wealth of pastoral experience to his role.

In his first Mass as Pope, celebrated in the Sistine Chapel, he emphasized the importance of cultivating a personal relationship with Christ, stating that without faith, life lacks meaning.
