A Safer Step to the Altar

A new handrail has been installed along the stairs leading to the altar, addressing a longstanding safety concern for our parish community—particularly for lectors and other volunteers who regularly use the steps, sometimes in low light.

This project is an investment in our church and, most importantly, in the safety and well-being of those who serve our parish community. We are grateful to Sam’s Metal Artwork, who provided a discount on the project, bringing the total cost to $1,582.00.

We are especially grateful to our parishioners whose ongoing support of Canadian Martyrs made this improvement possible. Thank you for helping us care for our church and for the people who make parish life possible through their ministry. Click here to learn more about how you can get involved as a volunteer as well.
