The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is an annual ecumenical celebration. Christians around the world are invited to pray for the unity of all Christians, to reflect on scripture together, to participate in jointly-organized ecumenical services, and to share fellowship.

Our worth, uniqueness, and individuality are not given to us by those who meet us in the measured time of our short existence, but by the One who chose us with eternal love.
Fr Henri Nouwen

Food Drive in Thanksgiving for Bishop Crosby’s Ministry
The Cathedral Parish is collecting offerings of non-perishable food for the foodbank at the Good Shepherd Venture Centre.  This collection of food is offered in thanksgiving for the ministry of Bishop Crosby in the Diocese of Hamilton.  Bags of food may be dropped off at the Cathedral Basilica at our Masses on the weekend of January 24/25 or until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 25 at the Good Shepherd truck which will be parked at the Tower entrance of the Cathedral Basilica.  Please join us in honouring our retiring Bishop by offering our support for those who rely on the foodbank at the Venture Centre.
