AED and CPR Training
This past week, members of the SLT and staff at Canadian Martyrs took part in a hands-on training session on how to perform CPR and use our on-site AED device. It was a valuable opportunity to gain practical skills that could one day help save a life.
The session was led by Alyssa, a nursing student and member of our university chaplaincy. She created a clear, engaging presentation and guided us through the material with professionalism and care. Alyssa also took the initiative to rent CPR training dummies and test AEDs to ensure we had a meaningful, hands-on learning experience. She generously donated her time and expertise, and declined to accept any compensation for her efforts.
We’re grateful for her leadership—and for the chance to be better prepared to respond in an emergency.
