Father Recommends: Fr. Greg Boyle
On Thursday, May 15, Sr. Mary and Fr. Gregory had the chance to attend a lecture at St. Jerome’s University by Fr. Greg Boyle, SJ. He’s a Jesuit priest and the founder of Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles—the largest gang-intervention and rehabilitation program in the world.
Fr. Boyle spoke powerfully about compassion, kinship, and the kind of hope that rebuilds lives. He’s spent decades walking with those on the margins, especially people formerly involved in gangs or recently released from incarceration, helping them find new paths through job training, education, and community.
If you’re looking for something meaningful to watch this week, Fr. Gregory recommends setting aside some time for his talk. It’s worth it.
