Fully Alive: The Way of Christian Life

Fr. Raphael Ma, C.R. was born in Toronto, the only child of a family of Chinese immigrants from Hong Kong.  After a experiencing a personal conversion in his first year at the University of Guelph, Raphael began to delve more deeply into his Catholic faith.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science from the department of Human Health and Nutritional Sciences, Raphael became a seminarian for the Diocese of Hamilton, and after 3.5 years in formation, discerned that God was also calling him to Religious Life.

Raphael professed his perpetual vows in the Congregation of the Resurrection in 2018, and was ordained to the priesthood in 2019.  He currently serves as associate pastor of St. Mary Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows parish in downtown Kitchener.  In his free time, Fr. Raph (as he prefers to be called) enjoys Muay Thai, cooking for friends, and learning random facts.
