First Communion and Coffee Sunday: Gallery and Reflection

Last Sunday was a joyful and grace-filled day in our parish community. On Mother’s Day, twelve students from Canadian Martyrs Catholic Elementary School received their First Holy Communion during our regular Sunday Mass. Surrounded by their families, classmates, and fellow parishioners, the children encountered Christ in the Eucharist for the first time. It was a beautiful moment for the students and our entire parish family.

Our 2026 First Communion cohort from Canadian Martyrs Elementary with Fr. Greg, Deacon Andrew, Principal Mr. Musa, and teacher Ms. Tarquinio.

Following Mass, parishioners gathered for Coffee Sunday, where we celebrated our First Communion students and their families with cake, coffee, and refreshments, shared in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The parish hall was especially lively as the celebration also coincided with the annual CWL Plant Sale, bringing together many even more members of the community to pick up their beautiful hanging baskets and ferns.

We are grateful to everyone who helped make the day a great success: our students and their families, school staff, parish volunteers, especially the CWL, and all who joined us in prayer and fellowship.
