WAYS TO GIVE!
Pre-Authorized Giving
Enjoy the convenience of having your offering automatically contributed to Canadian Martyrs, secure in knowing that you continue to support the parish even when you are away! Just come to the office to request a Pre-Authorized Giving form (or download it here), complete it with your information, and return it to us to set up the process! When you give using pre-authorized giving, we will send you a tax-deductible receipt at the end of the year to claim it on your taxes.

To accomplish the mission entrusted to us by Christ, Canadian Martyrs depends entirely on the generosity of our community. Preauthorized giving allows you to give to your parish intentionally and faithfully through scheduled monthly transfers from your bank account. On or near the 20th day of each month, your account will be debited in amount you specify. These funds are then deposited directly into Canadian Martyrs church account.

To help determine the amount of one’s monthly contribution, multiply your weekly offering by the 52 weeks in a year, then divide this annual contribution by 12.
Our hope is that parishioners will contribute an offering that is meaningful, sacrificial, and that honors the abundance with which the Lord has blessed each of us.

First, reflect on all that God has given you, and prayerfully decide how much of this you will return to God through your offering to Canadian Martyrs. Then fill out the form on the other side of this brochure and attach a void check in the space provided. Place the completed form in a sealed envelope into the offertory collection, mail the completed form to the church, or drop it off in person.

You may stop your preauthorized giving by simply writing a letter with 30 days’ notice to Canadian Martyrs. If you would prefer to use a standardized cancellation form instead of writing a letter, or for more information on your right to cancel your preauthorized giving agreement, please contact your financial institution or visit www.cdnpay.ca. You have certain recourse rights if ever any debit to your account does not comply with this agreement. For example, you have the right to receive reimbursement for any debit that is not authorized or is not consistent with this preauthorized giving agreement period to obtain more information on your recourse rights, contact your financial institution or visit www.cdnpay.ca
Touchless Giving (TipTap)
Who carries cash anymore? With TipTap, you don’t need to! Simply tap your card or phone to the reader of your choice ($5, $10 or $20) to give instantly via credit, debit, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Could it be any easier? Just listen for a beep followed by a pause and then another beep, and you’ve successfully given! If you hear a beep followed by two beeps, it wasn’t approved. Try again, or with another card!

Tiptap accepts all the major contactless payment solutions. Visa Mastercard, Interact, Apple Pay, Google Pay… simply tap your card or mobile wallet to the device to make your donation!

We collect no personal information, and card information is encrypted and transported on a private LTEm network to the TipTap server, making it as secure (or more secure) as the big banks. The device cannot be hacked, as any change in the firmware automatically transmits a tamper signal and shuts down the device. The inside is sealed with acrylic, making it impossible to compromise the hardware.

No, gifts given through TipTap are anonymous, and therefore we are unable to issue tax receipts for them.
CanadaHelps
When you give through CanadaHelps, you can make a one-time donation, or set up recurring monthly donations using your credit card or PayPal. It’s secure, easily managed, and you get instant tax receipts which makes claiming your donations easy. Choose to receive an instant tax receipt after each donation or a summary receipt at the end of each year for all donations. Plus, with an account, you can access your receipts any time you like.
Giving Envelopes
The classic method!
If you prefer to give using this way, and you aren’t yet set up with envelopes, please contact the office and we’ll get you set up! Dated offering envelopes remind us of the needs of the church, encourage regular giving and attendance, and highlight special giving days. As with pre-authorized giving, we will send you a receipt at the end of the year for tax purposes.
Giving Basket
Another oldie-but-goodie!
If you’re the type who prefers giving in the basket, don’t worry, we will never eliminate that! You may have noted that we are returning to the pre-COVID norm of passing the basket during Mass, and have removed it from the front and side entrances..
